Stiehl company, like many high-end manufacturers of the time, focused on quality craftsmanship and materials like those seen here, producing furniture from the Stiehl building in New York from 1915 until the mid 80s. These antique side tables were skillfully crafted, their tops each inlaid with a quatrefoil at the center with grain pattern book matched for an extra touch of elegance. The table tops each have a raised border with scrolled detailing and cutouts, plus four ornate legs supported by a crossbar for a table as sturdy as it is beautiful. Each table has its original nameplate beneath for A.H. Stiehl Furniture Company, Wholesale Furniture New York City, plus a formerly gold furniture sticker possibly from the dealer on the underside obscured by a previous owner with black paint. Felt feet added to protect flooring, easily removed if desired. See less
