Born in China during the mid-century period, this small barrel presents a nice contrast of colors. The black molded edges of the top and bottom frame the beautiful red lacquered body, adorned with black curving cartouches accented with faint motifs. Showcasing lateral ring pulls allowing the piece to be moved more easily, this Chinese lacquered barrel circa 1950 will be a great decorative accent to any home, perhaps used as a planter or simply to bring a touch of color to the room.
