Entitled LePrintemps … Read more A fabulous silk screen print, which was one of four of the Four Season’s Prints by Peter Hunt. Entitled LePrintemps (Spring). Signed lower right. In excellent vintage condition with vibrant, bright colors. No marks, damage or repairs. It is lightly attached, top and bottom to a foam core board. This will be shipped flat in between two foam core boards.
Peter Hunt (1896-1967) is a listed American Primitive, Folk Artist. He lived in Provincetown (P-Town) Massachusetts for most of his life. Anyone who knew him remembers him for his amazing artistic talent, good looks, charm, wit and knack for outrageous storytelling. He used to walked his two Afghan Dogs in the P-Town streets while wearing a flowing black cape and a wide rimmed black hat. His art adorned furniture, fabrics, chairs, trays, walls and much more. His work is currently on exhibit in P-Town’s Pilgrim Museum as well as the Museum of Modern Art. He was an author and teacher, as well.
