This table has the original cast iron bases they produced in the earlier years and weighs in at 75 pounds and with the table top about 150 pounds, Very sturdy. The table is signed to underside. The top was permanently damaged and we took the opportunity to-image the top with a choice of wood not heretofore available and selected Macassar Ebony. Rosewood and Walnut are offered by the company so we opted for another rich wood renown for it's vibrance. The trim of the table is also solid lumber Ebony. This is ideal as a dining or conference table, is lavish, rich, elegant and unique. All work performed by our workshop which included reconditioning the base with an oil based finish for longevity. We had to purchase a select amount of a log of ebony to do the work so we took the opportunity to also perform this work on a pedestal tulip side table and coffee table available in our other listings.
