Fine extra large and very wide antique Japanese monochrome watercolor scroll painting depicting a scene with three Red-Crowned Cranes and Turtles. Acquired from an art dealer, who purchased it from a merchant family in the Asakura region of Fukuoka Prefecture. Unsigned, sealed. Dated in the seal: 1910. Masterfully painted.. Watercolor and ink on paper. Beautifully mounted on silk, paper on back. Lacquered wood roller. Japan, Meiji era, 1910. Very Good condition - some age wear, minor staining, foxing and creases, clean silk mount. This scroll can be trimmed and framed.
