Documented to the Barovier … Read more Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown clear, dark pink-red, and bubbles Italian art glass baby bird figurine. Documented to the Barovier e Toso Company. I have owned several with labels before (this one is without). The bird is made with the controlled bubble "Bullicante" technique. The color dots create a pattern across the body of the bird, and cling to the bubbles. There are a few stray blue color dots within as well. It has a very cute face with large gold with dark purple dot eyes, a large open beak and applied wings to each side, all profusely covered in heavy gold leaf. You can hear it chirping just looking at it. Would make a great companion at any desk, or display it in a curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Measures: 4" tall x 3 1/4" long x 2 1/2" wide.
