Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown dark amethyst and gold flecks Italian art glass decorative squirrel figurine / sculpture. Documented to designer Archimede Seguso, circa 1950s. Created with powder pigments, "Pulveri" technique, and profusely covered in gold leaf. The gold glitters in any light. The technique is published in many books. The squirrel is very well sculpted, in a standing position with a cute face, little ears, legs, and full bushy tail. Would make a great companion piece on any desk, vanity or curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Measures: 4 1/4" tall x 3 3/4" long x 1 3/4" wide.
