Very fine condition, some slight toning. Sheet 22 x 30"; plate 27 1/2 x 17". Born in Romania, educated at the Institute of Visual Arts in Bucharest, Mesterou emigrated to Paris in 1970. In Paris she began extensive work in silkscreen, distributed by Editions La Tortue, Pierre Hautot, Rombaldi, and others. She has been the subject of numerous retrospective exhibitions in France and elsewhere in Europe. In 1985 she decided to concentrate on painting. In this piece she has produced lovely gradations of color and tone. A wonderful example of Mesterou's printmaking. See less
