It has elemental design esthetics drawn from … Read more C1927's;: Rene' Lalique signed, "Nivernais," Model # 1005, smoke charcoal gray, Bulbous-shaped vase/vessel. It has elemental design esthetics drawn from the Art Deco period, mannerisms of Cubist period and style. Art periods and movements were synonymous to the times along the line of history, be it in furniture, art, and design and cyclical, but blended towards am simpler and refined trajectory of periods. Signed on the underside, R. Lalique, France as 2nd to the last image indicates. There were no protective pads used for this, therefore there are some scratches to the base bottom, as we also understand this was purchased at an auction many years ago. No chips, nor flea bites, condition is great except for those aforementioned scratches to polished base, which is a round recessed platform. See less
