The original is credited to Lysippos 4th century. The Vatican marble is a Roman copy from Hadrian's Palace. A beautiful sculpture of the young winged Cupid with his bow and quiver resting on the trunk by his leg. This bronze is highlighted by gilt wash on the wings, the hair, and the tree trunk by his leg. Fine detail to the braided hair on top of his head and the feathered wings. Size 9" tall and 7.5" wide overall. See less
