Measuring 40" x 30" (41.5" x 31.5" with the original gilt frame), the piece is in excellent condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, including a light compression area in the top left. It is signed on the lower right front and verso, where it also bears the number 1027, reflecting Roth’s unique numerical titling system.
A former television director for The Ed Sullivan Show, Sesame Street, Miss Universe, and NASA space missions, Roth transitioned to painting full-time in 1972, producing over 500 original works that exude a luminous, non-representational quality. His paintings have been widely collected, appearing in galleries, corporate collections, and private estates. His work has been featured on the cover of Southwest Art Magazine and even appeared on an album cover of Beatles disco music.
