The chair … Read more Beautifully hand-crafted mid-century modern lounge chair, inspired by the clean, elegant lines of Paul McCobb's designs (Predictor series). The chair features a sculptural spindle back, gently curved crest rail, and tapered legs, all crafted from solid hardwood. The generous seat and angled back cushions provide exceptional comfort; upholstered in vintage patterned, woven fabric with deep red tones.

The chair was commissioned by a professional working-artist couple (sculptor & ceramicist) for one of their homes in the 1950s and is custom-built to a high standard; it showcases quality joinery and craftsmanship of mid-20th-century design.

For collectors of Danish modern, McCobb- or Jens Risom-style seating this chair is a striking one-off design, for either a living room, reading nook, or any design-forward space.

Very good to excellent vintage condition; presents beautifully.

* Upholstery in good serviceable condition for its age, light surface mark on the underside of seat cushion; please see photos. See less
