They have decorative metal medallions on the fronts of the bases and have decorative brass stripping. The shades are black paper with gold greek-key deigns along the tops and bottoms. The lamps have double sockets each with pull--string on/off switches allowing you to determine the amount of light you want. The original paper shades are original and show wear but look great for the age of these lamps. See less
