A beautiful set of steel engravings culled from several sources, primarily depicting famous racehorses of the era, many after original paintings by John Frederick Herring. Well framed by The Greenwich Workshop Gallery in later distressed silver gilt frames. Engravings are ca. 1820-1850.

Print condition varies with some in very good antique condition and some exhibiting more toning and foxing. Please note two of the the prints have shifted on their mats and display slightly unevenly, which could be easily corrected if desired. See photographs for additional details. Some fading and discoloration to the mats.

Frames in overall very good vintage condition, a few nicks and marks, one print with a slightly larger impact mark to its top side, as shown.

Ready to hang and perfect for a den or library.
