Dimensions: 14 ⅜” H x 3 ⅜” W x 3 ⅜” D
Stunning 19th century French crystal bottle (or decanter) with faceted and fluted details at the neck and base to accentuate the elongated form. Juxtaposing the refined glass blowing and cutting techniques of the vessel is a tongue-to-cheek cork stopper depicting a figural monk character–cast in silverplate–tipping back his chalice of wine or beer. The cork appears to be new, without the same depth of patina as the silver monk and glass bottle. Please view the detailed images to see more.
