Crafted from fine Sterling Silver and … Read more Vintage Home is pleased to present this exquisite set of 1902 English Coffee/Dessert Spoons. Crafted from fine Sterling Silver and jewel-toned Enamel with an Art Deco style. They are by artist Henry Clifford Davis and feature his three initials stamped into each spoon in the Sterling Silver with the Birmingham Assay Office mark noting the location and year of production by the upright Anchor and the letter “C”. The set of 6 are in the original velvet lined box. HCD was a British silversmith who specialized in high quality sterling and enamel items. He applied for his first patten with the Birmingham Assay in 1901. This set of spoons represents some of his first work produced under his own name. In 1910 he moved his silversmith shop to Chester and his later work adopted the new assay office marks.
