Accurately reproduced from the original work, this antiqued print reproduction of the fox hunting scene, "The Meeting" by J.F. Herring, is framed in the proper period, distressed-looking, metallic gold frame with black accent border, constructed of solid composite wood with flush-mounted eye hooks and picture wire installed on back.

John Frederick Herring Sr., also known as John Frederick Herring I, was a painter, sign maker and coachman in Victorian England. He also painted the 1848 "Pharaoh's Chariot Horses". He amended his signature "SR" in 1836, with the growing fame of his teenage son John Frederick Herring Jr.
