Irwin Jacob Rosenhouse (1924-2002); color woodblock print of children and flowers; pencil signed, titled and numbered 9 of 190. This is a very good pull, heavily printed with very thick ink.
Rosenhouse worked as a designer at MOMA early in his career. Later he taught at several New York City institutions while working as a book illustrator for many children, religious and history books. In addition, he created album covers during the golden age of record design for Smithsonian Folkways, MGM and Columbia.
