The chair’s seats have been fully restored, stripped back to the original solid walnut pegged frame with a new coil spring base, padding, hessian lining, and calico coverings added to the front. The feather button-backs have been restored ready and re-upholstered in a sumptuous velvet. Raised on turned ebony legs and brass castors. The castors are delightfully worn and full of character adding to the charm of this delightful pair of armchairs. The price is for the pair. French, circa 1890.
