Reminiscent of Jean … Read more This fantastic early 20th century wood side chair is estimated to be from the 1930s or 1940s. Reminiscent of Jean Royère's "Croisillon" dining chair it is simple yet refined with a pleasing design and form. The unusual seat's shape is that of an upholstered cushion yet it is made of carved solid wood giving it a sculptural element. The narrow, petite back with its slots angled perpendicular to the frame adds increased dimension to the piece. It is in good sturdy condition and has typical wear consistent with age such as scuffs, dings and marks.
Measures: 16" front width, 12.5" back width, 17.25" depth, 28" height and 17.5" seat height. See less
