Rare, vintage, Dick Shanley layered, laminated mid century, honey brown birch wood vase.
Signed "DS" on the bottom of vase.
His collectible works are held in several museum collections, including the Cooper Hewitt.in New York
Flowing organic form are accentuated by the laminated pattern.
All his vases designs have only one small simple spout for flowers not requiring water (i.e.:dried, silk, air plants)
Each vase is hand carved or turned, so every piece has a distinctive, Freeform,, modernist, organic silhouette.
