Stylish, architectural and wonderfully versatile, this vintage three-tier brass étagère / display stand dates to approximately the 1960s and has been completely restored with a bold contemporary update.

The compact frame features a striking multi-sided geometric silhouette, slender upright supports and three display levels that create an airy, almost sculptural appearance. Originally constructed in brass, the frame has been professionally refinished in a rich brick red satin enamel, giving the piece a fresh modern identity while retaining its unmistakable mid-century form.

The newly finished surface was completed with a heavy clear protective acrylic top coat for added durability and a smooth, refined appearance.

The upper two tiers feature clear tempered glass shelves, while the lower tier is fitted with a mirrored glass shelf, beautifully reflecting objects displayed above and adding visual depth to the entire piece.

As part of the restoration, all shelf-support pegs were replaced with new hardware, carefully painted to coordinate with the frame, and fitted with new clear rubber protective covers to cushion the glass.

The glass shelves are in excellent vintage condition, remaining chip- and crack-free with little to no noticeable surface wear. The mirrored lower shelf is also free of chips and cracks and retains a lovely reflective surface, with only a very small amount of age-related wear along portions of the edges and one minor scratch.

Its size makes it incredibly useful without overwhelming a room. At just over two feet tall, it works beautifully as a small étagère, plant stand, cocktail/bar display, pedestal table, corner shelf, bedside display, sculpture stand or decorative accent table.

The saturated brick-red finish also makes this piece especially fun to style. It can move easily between mid-century modern, contemporary, Memphis-inspired, eclectic, maximalist, bohemian, industrial or modernist interiors, depending entirely on what is displayed on it.

Use it for art glass, ceramics, small sculptures, plants, books, barware or favorite collected objects — the transparent shelves keep the overall silhouette light while the mirrored base adds an unexpected touch of glamour.

A fantastic restored vintage piece with bold color, architectural lines and genuinely useful scale.
