A stunning and rare large color engraving of a horse race titled L'Arrivée, created by Jean Pierre Marie Jazet (1788-1871) after a painting by the renowned Antoine Charles Horace "Carle" Vernet (1758-1836). Vernet, celebrated for his masterful equestrian scenes, devoted much of his career to the art of horse painting. This print exemplifies his dynamic composition and deep understanding of movement, beautifully rendered through Jazet’s exceptional engraving technique.
