The centerpiece of this piece is the grand figural spout, shaped as Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and revelry. The hinged lid opens to reveal a pristine ceramic liner, ensuring functionality alongside its aesthetic appeal. Dating to circa 1890, this jug is a remarkable example of late 19th-century craftsmanship. Plaque on front with a heraldic crest. No maker's marks.
