The Fauvism museum poster print is published by Museum Editions West, Santa Monica California, for The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Printed in The United States in 1994 in an unnumbered limited edition. It features a Fauvism artwork image originally created by Matisse in 1905 titled " Les Genets ( The Broom Trees ) ", bequest of Elise S. Haas, copyright 1994 San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Henri Matisse ( 1869 - 1954 ) the French born artist is known for both his sense of color and fluid aesthetic. Matisse in commonly regarded, along with Picasso as one of the most important artists who helped to define and influence radical Contemporary Art of The Twentieth Century. His mastery of the expressive language of color and drawing won him recognition as a leading figure in world Modern Art. Artworks by Matisse are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print framed museum poster print measures 32 1/2" W X 28 3/8" H X 7/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern avocado olive green matte eggshell finish wood frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling.
