This exquisite set of 20 hand-painted Imari porcelain plates dates back to the late Edo period.
This rare find is a testament to refined Japanese craftsmanship.
The plates feature a subtly undulating shape and are richly decorated with a complex yet harmonious design.
Plate dimensions: diameter 25 cm, height 3.5 cm.
Wooden storage box dimensions: 24 cm x 58 cm x 28.5 cm.
The top surface is hand-painted in vibrant red and gold tones, complemented by soft green and lilac accents. The design incorporates traditional Japanese motifs such as floral elements, cranes, cherry blossoms (sakura), and geometric patterns.
The central blue medallion in fine cobalt beautifully contrasts with the warm red and gold decorations.
