Made by Scammell's Lamberton China commemorating 100 years of the B & O Railroad. This blue and white transfer ware 11.5" oval platter depicts the Cumberland Narrows and historic B & O locomotives around the rim. Those locomotives include:
The Tom Thumb- 1830, The Atlantic-1832, The Philip E. Thomas-1838, Winan's Camel-1851, and the Horse Drawn Car-1830. This piece was produced in Trenton, New Jersey in the Lamberton Works.
