The border is comprised of panels outlined in yellow raised relief that alternate between flower sprigs and Rouen inspired cobalt blue croisille decor. Quimper plates with this ogee scalloped rim are rare! Signed HB Quimper on the front. Circa 1920.

This pair is in excellent antique condition with a colored in glaze defect on the outer rim of the left plate (man with yellow pants), rim glaze flecks and wear, and rim glaze skips originating from manufacture. See photos for condition issues.
