The vase is glazed in reddish browns with dark umber speckles and highlights on the exterior neck and shoulder, the extended foot and the interior, and has a white glazed waist and inset base. The large waist is decorated with contiguous scenes of village life with many plants, trees, bushes, animals, people, houses and lakes all in masterfully carved, bas-relief. A four character, Wang Bingron mark is carved and glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa early Republic of China era.
