A refined 19th century French walnut bookcase, retaining its original locking glass door and a beautifully aged, untouched finish. Standing 84 inches high, 41 inches wide, and 18 inches deep, the piece has an elegant, well-balanced proportion that gives it a strong architectural presence without overwhelming a space.
The interior measures 12.5 inches in depth and is fitted with two shelves, offering practical storage for books or curated objects. Additional shelves can be made if desired.
The bookcase remains in very good antique condition, with light, age-appropriate wear. Notable imperfections include a small chip to one corner of the top molding and a few fine, stable separations to the wood grain on one shelf, consistent with its age and shown in the images.
Elegant in scale and restrained in ornament, this piece integrates effortlessly into both traditional and contemporary interiors—ideal for a library, study, or living space.
