Yab-Yum represents the union of male and female principles with Vajrabhairava embracing his consort. Features multiple arms holding various implements and skulls adorning the head, typical of wrathful deities, used in Buddhism to remove obstacles and transform negative energies. Vajrabhairava is painted red/orange over his skull laden headdress, and the deity has three faces and bears a horse's head within his hair. There is intricate detailing of facial expressions, clothing and jewelry. See less
