  • "Hm. It is not supposed to be like that and certainly wasn't when it was sent. Please don't sit in it anymore as I'm afraid it might exacerbate the problem. Did you put it back together with the washers? Maybe the outer screws weren't right enough so the base and seat were too loosely connected? That would explain the legs Bowing out and the whole thing feeling wobbly. I can also send you a replacement screw to see if that helps. I'm currently travelling in Mexico City. Can I call you Monday?"

  • "Samuel Ivan: Also, when you sit in the chair, it feels like most if not all the legs "splay out" some. You fell it happening as you sit and it is very unsettling. Makes you worry the legs are going to pop off or break. We so not have this issue at all with out metal leg Saarinen. It doesn't do this when on a rug or carpet, but it will most often be on hardwood in our house, so this is a problem."

  • "Samuel Ivan: Just home home and investigated further as someone else had done the assembly while I've been gone. There are washers. I had just forgotten. The back right Phillips screw hole seems completely stripped as it doesn't tighten at all and I can pretty much pull the screw out with my fingers. ??"

    April 9, 2016, 10:37 a.m.

  • "Sounds good. If there weren't any washers we are happy To send some replacements. Sam"

    April 9, 2016, 6:43 a.m.

  • "Samuel Ivan:Thanks much for the reply. All the screws are in, but I don't recall any washers with all of your excellent packaging. I'll check this weekend when I get back from a business trip."

    April 9, 2016, 6:35 a.m.

  • "Jeffrey C.: hey Jeffery. That seems a bit odd... There should be four Philips head screws with washers that attach on the outside of the base that connect the base and the chair. Then there should be right star head screws that connect the legs to the chair. Do you have all 12 screws in?"

    April 9, 2016, 6:28 a.m.

  • "We love the chair. Since assembling, there seems to be a bit of a give in the legs, almost like a bit of a spring movement. We've tightened all the screws again, but to no avail. Any thoughts? One of the connections did seem a bit stripped."

  • "Jeffrey C.: ok thanks so muc Jeffrey. Unfortunately there are pretty hefty fees on chairish so that's the best I can do. Good luck in your search. Aam"

  • "Can't do better than my earlier higher offer. Sorry. If you change your mind, happy to still purchase."

    March 19, 2016, 1:16 p.m.

  • "Jeffrey C.: hi there! I just changed the listing now, so flat rate should be an options."

    March 19, 2016, 9:48 a.m.

  • "May be interested in purchasing but flat rate shipping does not show as an option, only white glove. Please advise."
