Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown clear, gold flecks, and bubbles Italian art glass baby bird figurine. Documented to the Barovier e Toso Company. I have owned several with labels before (this one is without). The bird is made with the controlled bubble "Bullicante" technique. The bubbles create an internal pattern across the body of the bird. It has a very cute face with large gold with dark purple dot eyes, an open beak and applied wings to each side, all heavily covered in gold leaf. You can hear it chirping just looking at it. Would make a great companion at any desk, or display it in a curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Measures: 4 1/4" tall x 3" long x 2 1/4" wide.
