Pair of Antique Victorian Rocking Chairs by Ordman Attributed To Heywood Brothers
For those with an eye as refined as their taste, this pair of 19th-century rocking chairs is nothing short of a masterclass in craftsmanship. Sculptural spindles, a signature platform base, and a motion so impossibly smooth—these are not just chairs; they are museum-worthy (see: Yale University Art Gallery).
Picture them in a meticulously layered library, a flawlessly curated salon, or—let’s be honest—the most divine folly you can imagine. They whisper of a time when life moved at a more deliberate pace, when people actually sat with their thoughts rather than scrolling past them.
These original Antique Ordman Platform Chairs aren’t just seating—they are statements to heirlooms of innovation, comfort, and undeniable style. We adore them for their distinctive charm and their subtle reminder that perhaps we could all take a moment to slow down and savor the moment....
