She created her first … Read more Design Plus Gallery presents a Set of Five Ceramic Chickens by Catherine Hunter, a Belgian Artist. She created her first hens entirely by hand in 1999. She presented them at selected exhibitions and the success was immediate. Within a short time, Catherine could not cope with the orders, which was when she decided to have the hens made in the faiencerie of Longchamp in Burgundy (France). This is where she had sourced and found the potters who were able to produce her hens in the way she originally designed them. They are all in good condition overall, with the smallest one having a broken hen that has been repaired with glue.

Georges is proud. As the head of the farmyard, he holds his head high, most satisfied with his male domination.
