Allen Jones (b 1937) is a British sculptor, painter and printmaker in the Pop Art style. He is known for his sexually charged depictions of women. During the 60s, his style shifted from painterly brushstrokes to a more stylized, linear approach to his work. This piece is a collaged lithograph. It is an unsigned artist’s proof with justification marks on the bottom edge and left margin. The proof image of the mother and children in black and white is on the reverse which is annotated “proof 8.”
This untitled piece artist’s proof is in good original condition. There are very faint handling creases on the upper right corner, and a small crease to the upper left. None affects the image.
