The Modernist poster print is published by The Cleveland Museum of Art, printed in 1992 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the " Picasso and Things " The Still Lifes of Picasso " exhibition at The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Grand Palais Paris. It features a Cubist artwork image originally created by Picasso in 1924 titled " Still Life with Biscuits ", copyright 1992 The Cleveland Museum of Art.

Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The Twentieth Century. Exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.

Picasso painted the still life artwork in Juan-Les-Pons on The French Riviera on The Mediterranean coast in 1924. It was a relatively tranquil time in his life, marked by the birth of his son, Paolo with wife Olga Koklova. Many of his paintings of this period, such as this work " Still Life with Biscuits ", express the simple pleasures of domestic life.

Highly experimental, Picasso produced textured effects in the artwork by adding sand to his paints and mixing them with various substances that made certain area surfaces intentionally crack, achieving a new vocabulary of techniques he would later revisit throughout his career.

The rare out of print framed Modernist exhibition poster print measures 26" W X 23 5/8" H X 1 1/2" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modern satin eggshell finish gray stained white oak wood museum box style frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " very clean vintage condition consistent with age, very light signs of handling, and very light minor wear.
