Fully restored pair of Model 137 lounge chairs, designed by Italian architect Carlo de Carli and produced by Singer & Sons in the 1950s.
The solid walnut frames have a golden amber hue and feature curved ladder backs, sculpted arms, and a signature inlay in the rear legs, which appears in both the Model 137 and the slightly smaller Model 114 chairs.
Extra deep seats make these the perfect chairs to sink into and lounge the day away. The seat cushions sit atop an array extension springs, giving them a subtle and durable bounce. Cushion covers are made from a soft moon rock houndstooth chenille.
The Singer & Sons sticker labels on the underside of the frame have been lost to history. The signature inlay on the rear legs and the dimensions of the chairs are a perfect match for the Model 137 chair seen in M. Singer & Sons catalogues. Documentation available on request.
These chairs were previously on the set of a Warner Brothers production. The WB asset tags remain where the original Singer & Sons stickers would have been.
