The exact age of this box is unknown, however, because it says made in China on the bottom it was most likely made between the late 1800s and the 1920s. Another way to determine the age of a Cloisonne item is to examine of the enamel and the little holes that occur naturally in over time. This shouldn’t be considered an imperfection, but rather just a tool for estimating the age of a Cloisonne piece. I also found one other box like this when I did my research using the steps listed below, and it was listed as an antique. The previous owners of my Box did not state the age.

Depth: 1 inch
Condition: Very good antique condition with some imperfections, including scratches and small holes in the enamel. None of the holes seem to be big or problematic.
