Absolutely a first cast example ( 1880's or earlier) the finest bronze patinated in rich melted chocolate body with crisp sharp quality ( see images of toes , her swimsuit, expressive eyes etc.) . This unique antique bronze has tremendous motion and movement and the artist created this piece with flow in such a way that makes the viewer feel like she is about preform a dive . Provenance: Acquired from a New York gold coast Long Island estate with other antiques such as kpm plaque meissen porcelain and old master paintings. See less
