Unique ceramic Oribe ware chawan, or Japanese tea bowl, from the 1960s.
Dimensions: height 7 cm, diameter 12 cm. In perfect condition, unsigned.
This chawan was made using traditional techniques at the Aoi kiln (Shizuoka Prefecture) and designed by the renowned Shunji Kato.
The bowl features an organic, natural design that fits comfortably and pleasantly in the hand.
The pottery is finished with decorative patterns and a unique deep green crackle glaze, giving the chawan a refined appearance.
This exceptional chawan is not only a functional object but also a unique accent in a stylish interior, elevating the tea-drinking experience and enhancing the atmosphere of a Japanese tea ceremony. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
