The piece is inspired by … Read more Here is a beautiful and versatile pedestal/stand made by Maitland-Smith in the later 20th c. The piece is inspired by Ming, Asian design as it features an octagonal shape with geometric, wood skirt. I love how the legs slightly curve inward and wonderful, scagliola/faux marble detail at the top. The marble even feels like stone, and it's just a good replica! The piece is sturdy and perfect as an extra table, or used for lamps, art, plants, etc. I have included a picture with a large vase for reference. See less
