The poster is … Read more This Swedish pop art political poster is in excellent condition, having been framed and protected behind plexiglass. The poster is matted with a flat black mat and framed in a gold wooden frame. The bold colors are black, red, gold, and green. Borrowing from the style of the famous Andy Warhol portrait of Marilyn Monroe, this political poster features the face of Carl Bildt. Bildt served as Sweden’s Prime Minister from 1991 to 1994 and as the European Union’s Peace Envoy for the Yugoslav wars. He was co-chairman of the Dayton Accords, which brought about the peace deal in Bosnia in 1995. He was later appointed the United Nations Envoy to the Balkans. This is not just a fun piece of art, but it’s also a piece of history. The exterior of the frame measures 32 inches tall by 25½ inches wide by 1 inch deep.

Please note: Glass over a dark background makes photography difficult. Under every lighting condition that we attempted, light reflected off the glass like a mirror. Consequently, the photographs show some reflection – some light distortions – based on this problem. See less
