A contemporary figurative serigraph with silver embossed embellishments titled "In the Evening" by the Father of Art Deco, Erte. Hand signed in pencil on the lower right with an annotation of 124/300 on the lower left. Published by Circle Fine Art Gallery in 1981. This artwork is a fantastic fusion for enthusiasts of fashion and Art Deco. Original gallery tag on verso. Dimensions: 32"h x 28"w x 1.5"d (framed). In very good vintage condition.
Erte (1892-1990) born Romain de Tirtoff in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892, was a world-renowned artist and designer. He is most famous for his Art Deco designs which appeared on everything from fashion to jewelry to furniture. His career spanned nearly seven decades and his work continues to be highly sought after by collectors.
