Wonderful Balinese carved wood lion box depicting Singa the Lion. The piece is made of hand carved wood painted with bright polychrome colors with lots of details. It has an opening under the tail which is used to hold objects carried during festivals. It was purchased from Takashimaya in New York City in 1983. A wonderful colorful piece of art and tradition to add to your interior.
Overall dimensions are 16" wide x 4-1/2" deep x 8" high.
Box opening measures 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" deep x 2" high.
