Documented to … Read more Beautiful and tall, vintage Murano hand blown sky blue, controlled bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass decanter. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, circa 1950s. Published in his catalog. The decanter has its original stopper, and has an applied foot. The entire surface has a ribbed surface, with a "Bullicante" technique, where bubbles are spaced throughout the inner layer of glass. The decanter is profusely covered inside with heavy gold leaf. The gold clings to each bubble making them stand out, and creating a unique pattern. Would make a great display piece on any table, credenza or mantel. Display it as a decorative piece, or take off the stopper and use it as a flower vase. Mid-century era. Measures 20 1/2" tall.
