Here is a beautiful antique solid brass mortar and pestle set. The mortar has a cylindrical shape with a flared mouth and two angular handles at the sides. The baton-shaped pestle has large knob ends at one side to effectively crush and/or grind substances and a decorative detailed end on the opposite side. Both the mortar and pestle have been finished with decorative elements consisting of thin bands while the pestle also has a turned knob at the center. I was lucky enough to find a collection of three and this particular one is the medium size you see in the last photo. I'd love for you to own all three!
Mortar is 4.875 x 4.875 x 4.5”h. The pestle is 2 x 2 x 8.5”h.
