This bowl is typical of the pottery made by the Frattelli Fanciullacci in Italy. Recognizable for the particular opaque glaze, slightly wavy and soft, it is not present for the brand and number on the base. The firm was well known for its individual designs, obviously influenced by abstract artists such as Picasso and Mondrian. This beautiful example is a modern still life in the style of Matisse done c. 1960
