A classical still life reminiscent … Read more Here we have an absolutely gorgeous vintage hand painted four panel screen or room divider. A classical still life reminiscent of the Dutch old masters with a dark moody background. The background starts off very dark green on the left and transitions to shades of brown as it moves to the right. The central feature is a scalloped table supporting a bountiful basket overflowing with luscious fruit, enormous flowers and sprigs of wheat. An ornate pedestal topped with an urn rounds out the composition. Breathtakingly beautiful!

The screen is fully trimmed in brown leather and metal studs. The craqalure surface adds to the old world charm. The back is painted black craquelure. Each scalloped panel is one inch thick and 18 inches wide. Maximum width is six feet wide. There are two nylon non-marring button feet on the bottom of each panel. The overall height is 78.25 inches at the highest and it tapers to 65 inches at the outside points on each side. The screen is solid feeling on both sides, so I'm guessing the canvas is stretched over some kind of wood. The last photo is for an idea that I was going to use this screen for.
