We were fortunate to acquire a group of Erwine and Estelle Laverne pieces from an estate a little while ago. We’ve had them polished and brought back to life. This pair in from the Invisible’s Group from 1959, the Lily Chairs. They were purchased by the previous owners at Wright Auctions, on December 7th, 2004, as lot numbers 420/421. We’ve chosen to show them with white sheepskins which makes them quite comfortable. They are in good condition now with the inevitable glue crazing where the base meets the top, pictured. The edges have a slight yellow cast from age as well but they are quite beautiful overall.
The chairs are not signed but are pictured in the LaVerne’s book.
